SEVİL DOLMACI ART GALLERY BRINGS TOGETHER THE WORKS OF INTERNATIONAL AND TURKISH ARTISTS IN THE EXHIBITION "PLAYFUL MINDS"
Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery, "Playful Minds" is hosting a group exhibition of local and international artists. The works of international artists such as Christo, Theodore Boyer, Devon Dejardin, Sam Jablon, Royal Jarmon, Kan Seidel, Ruby Anemic and Eric Shaw, as well as works by Haluk Akakçe, Ozan Oganer and Sinan Saül, will meet art lovers at Villa Ipranosyan, the gallery's jewel building, between January 28 and February 25.
Playful MindsThe exhibition presents some 30 striking works by eight artists belonging to the Y and Z generations and eleven artists in total. Exhibition, Theodore Boyer's female figures and still lifes, Eric Shaw's cityscape abstractions in striking colors, Royal Jarmon's depictions of flowers and animals with childlike naivety draw attention. Devon Dejardin's sculpture of human abstraction, Kan Seidelwith a canvas work featuring the playful figures of Sam Jablon's slogans reflecting his playful character are also included in the exhibition. Sinan Saülbrings his uncanny yet extraordinary figures together with art lovers for the first time at Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery. Ozan Oganer's sculpture of a girl popping balloons fits in with the exhibition. Haluk Akakçe's works, which combine childlike figures and inspiring slogans, play a unifying role in the exhibition.
Recently, the young generation of artists who take their inspiration from the famous cartoon characters of gaming, anime and popular culture are attracting the attention of young audiences with the naive, playful characters and figures they use in their works. The exhibition also features a pair of artists known for their large-scale site-specific installations around the world. Christo and Jeanne Claude's limited edition work will also take place. "Playful Minds", which will include works in different mediums, focuses on joyful and remarkable works in which artists interpret the world around them with their unique styles.
