SEVIL DOLMACI GALLERY PRESENTS AN INTERNATIONAL SELECTION AT ART COLOGNE 2026

Sevil Dolmacı Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in the 59th edition of ART COLOGNE, one of the world’s longest-established international art fairs. The fair will begin with a preview on November 5, followed by public opening days from November 6 to 8, 2026. The gallery will present a selection of works by 14 artists from Türkiye and the international contemporary art scene.

Recognized as one of the world’s longest-running international fairs dedicated to modern and contemporary art, ART COLOGNE brings together galleries, artists, collectors, and art professionals in Cologne each year. Its 2026 edition will feature 164 galleries from 22 countries, providing an international platform that brings together different generations and artistic practices across modern and contemporary art.

For ART COLOGNE 2026, Sevil Dolmacı Gallery will present a selection of works by Nevin Aladağ, Ross Bleckner, Cody Choi, Ebru Döşekçi, Daniel Knorr, Gülfem Kessler, Bosco Sodi, Koen Van Den Broek, Nilbar Güreş, Ahmet Oran, Serkan Özkaya, Robert Janitz, Leif Trenkler, and Ekrem Yalçındağ. Bringing together artists from different generations, geographical backgrounds, and artistic disciplines, the presentation reflects the multifaceted nature of the gallery’s current program.

The gallery’s presentation brings together diverse artistic approaches through dialogues between painting, sculpture, and conceptual practices. The abstract painting practices of Ekrem Yalçındağ and Ahmet Oran, developed through explorations of color, surface, and repetition, enter into dialogue with Ross Bleckner’s paintings addressing light, memory, and transience; Leif Trenkler’s figurative narratives informed by everyday life and personal memory; and Koen Van Den Broek’s compositions that transform details of architectural environments and urban landscapes into abstraction. Robert Janitz’s painting practice, which explores the relationship between paint, material, and gesture while moving between abstraction and figuration, further expands the dialogue around surface and painterly expression. Bosco Sodi’s works, which reveal the physical properties of materials and traces of the creative process, further explore the boundaries between painting and object through surface and materiality.

Nilbar Güreş’s practice, addressing identity, gender, and cultural codes; Nevin Aladağ’s exploration of the relationships between music, performance, objects, and cultural belonging; Serkan Özkaya’s conceptual approach to the production, representation, and circulation of art objects; and Daniel Knorr’s investigations into public space, social structures, and the transformation of objects contribute distinct conceptual and formal dimensions to the selection. Cody Choi’s works, which examine cultural identity and encounters between East and West, alongside the practices of Ebru Döşekçi and Gülfem Kessler, developed through material, form, and space, further enrich the dialogue between different geographies and generations.

Through its presentation at ART COLOGNE 2026, Sevil Dolmacı Gallery brings together artistic practices from different generations within an international context, extending its evolving program across Istanbul, Dubai, and Paris to Cologne.
