Sara Ludy is an American artist born in 1980 who works in a wide range of media including video, sound, animation, virtual and augmented reality, websites, audiovisual performances, sculpture, painting, photography and installations. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, he creates hybrid forms from the intersection of nature, being and simulation, asking questions about immateriality and our relationship to space. Ludy's work has been exhibited in major galleries and museums including Bitforms Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Whitney Museum of American Art. His art has been featured in publications such as Modern Painters, The New York Times, Art Forum, Art in America and Cultured Magazine. His work Sky Lapis broke a sales record in 2021 when it sold for $15,120 at Sotheby's New York. Ludy has also been featured in magazines such as FAD Magazine, ArtDaily and ARTnews, most recently in Art Viewer magazine in 2024.
