Berkay Can Yılmaz is a contemporary artist whose painting practice is grounded in the fragile relationships between consciousness, memory, and perception. Born in Istanbul in 1997, Yılmaz studied Painting at Marmara University. He approaches the pictorial surface not as a fixed narrative space, but as a site of continuous transformation and meaning-making. By combining spontaneous gestures with carefully considered compositional structures, he invites viewers into open-ended experiences rather than definitive interpretations. This approach gives rise to a multilayered visual language that remains in constant flux. 

Within Yılmaz’s practice, images, symbols, and forms coexist without a singular point of origin or conclusion. Through their interaction, they reveal the simultaneous presence of multiple realities and shifting identities. The artist describes his paintings as visual signals that seek to establish a direct encounter with the viewer.
